About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants, to join the kitchen team at our new client's aged care facility inLake Cathie, NSW.
Multiple morning and afternoon shifts across Monday to Sunday
* Morning shifts 6:30am-3:00pm.
* Afternoon shifts 1:00pm-8:00pm, 3:00pm-8:00pm or 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply
The successful applicant must provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one, and have received at least two doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine.
Skills and experience
Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
Reliable and punctual
Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing meal service to elderly residents
* Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
* Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
* Washing dishes and plating of meals
* Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
* Function set up and clear down.
* Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
