Position Summary
Hornsby RSL is seeking an experienced and hands-on Supervisor to support daily operations across our multi-offer venue, including bar, restaurant, Cafe, gaming, and functions.
This is not a passive role—we are looking for a leader who can take control of the floor, drive service standards, and manage team performance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Floor Leadership & Operations
Lead day-to-day operations across bar, restaurant, Cafe, gaming, and general floor areas
Actively manage the floor during peak periods, identifying issues early and responding in real time
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and overall venue readiness
Lead, direct, and support front-line staff throughout each shift
on-the-spot coaching and feedback to improve service delivery
Address performance issues early and consistently in line with venue expectations
Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
Customer Experience
Lead from the front in delivering a professional, welcoming, and engaging member experience
Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations with confidence and ownership
Ensure service standards are consistently met across all departments
Compliance & Safety
Ensure full compliance with RSA, RCG, and all regulatory requirements
Maintain strong awareness of gaming floor activity and responsible service practices
Support a safe working environment by identifying and addressing risks
Operational Support
Assist with stock control, cash handling, and minimising wastage
Complete accurate shift reporting and handovers
Support functions, promotions, and venue initiatives as required
Skills & Experience Required
3–4+ years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within Pubs or Clubs
Proven ability to lead a team and manage a busy service environment
Strong communication skills with the confidence to direct staff and address issues
Ability to stay composed and make decisions under pressure
Solid understanding of bar, restaurant, and/or gaming operations
A proactive, hands-on approach with high attention to detail
Roster & Availability
This is a full-time position working a 4 on / 4 off rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
This structure provides consistency and work-life balance but requires flexibility and reliability across all trading periods.
Qualifications
Additional leadership or hospitality training (advantageous)
