**About the role**

As the GM Risk & Compliance, you'll be accountable for ensuring Sportsbet manages its risk profile and compliance obligations in accordance with its policies and frameworks and various Flutter Entertainment Global Risk initiatives, as part of a FTSE 100 company.

You'll form part of the LRC Leadership Team and will provide seamless delivery support for all Risk and Compliance Management activities by the second line, including Operational, Strategic, Project and Reputational risks. Your position will lead the Risk & Compliance function for identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring top enterprise and emerging risks. You will perform oversight and monitoring of all material risk and compliance management activities.

You'll also propose and coordinate actions to communicate, implement and monitor risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits; and facilitate the use of appropriate risk management methodologies, tools and techniques.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Facilitate the ongoing maintenance and evolution of Sportsbet's strategic and departmental operational risk profiles in collaboration with the Leadership Team
- Provide independent opinion and recommendation on the design, effectiveness, and scalability of the control environment in place to manage risk across the business
- Lead the design and implementation of enhanced or new controls to further manage risk where existing controls are not effective or scalable as the business evolves and grows
- Ensuring senior staff in the first line are suitably equipped to cope with the growing complexity of compliance and risk landscape across the organisation
- Developing, embedding, and enhancing the Risk Management framework, charter, policy statements and methodology, ensuring it aligns with best practice
- Develop, embed, and enhance the Compliance Management framework ensuring the business identifies, understands, and manages its suite of regulatory and legislative obligations
- Liaising with senior staff and management to ensure that they meet their risk and compliance management responsibilities
- Provide advice, support, and hands-on guidance to the business on control design and implementation
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of significant compliance incidents and collaborate with Legal to prepare responses to Regulators as required.

**About You**

We're looking for someone with:

- Sound evidence operationalising contemporary approaches to enterprise risk management and compliance in "digital" and multi-channel consumer businesses
- Exceptional examples when it comes to managing Executive Level stakeholders in an ever-changing business environment and navigating multiple key priorities
- Practical understanding and experience operating across several strategic and operational risk domains including technology, product, marketing, HR, and data.
- Practical understanding and experience operating in consumer facing regulatory environments including advertising and privacy
- Proven experience in improving Risk and Compliance capabilities, processes, and policies
- Ability to work closely with and communicate with and influence department managers and senior executives
- Excellent analytical skills, including identifying potential issues and scenarios
- Functional and Technical Leadership to both direct reports and broader business.
