The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager from a manufacturing background to lead and continuously improve our Work Health & Safety (WHS) framework across our Kings Park and Chullora sites. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be hands-on, visible on the floor, and instrumental in embedding best-practice safety systems that support both compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* As Safety Manager you will assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of comprehensive WHS policies, procedures, and systems
* The Safety Manager will conduct workplace risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement effective control measures
* The Safety Manager will lead incident management, investigation, and reporting using recognised methodologies (ICAM or TapRooT)
* As the Safety Manager you will ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and Australian Standards
* This Safety Manager will partner with leaders and frontline teams to promote a strong, positive safety culture
* The Safety Manager will deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and engagement initiatives across the workforce
* The Safety Manager will monitor safety performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* As the Safety Manager you will act as the key point of contact for regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders as required
About You
* Proven experience in a Safety Manager (or similar senior WHS) role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
* Experience conducting incident investigations using ICAM and/or TapRooT methodologies
* Practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence at all levels
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV, Diploma, or higher)
