Job Overview
This role involves working on maternity leave contract as part of our WorkCover team based in Toowoomba office. The full-time position can be considered for part-time role for the right candidate.
* Key responsibilities include opening files, managing electronic file database, dictation typing, and drafting correspondence & legal documents using precedents.
* Additional duties include preparation of briefs to counsel and medical practitioners, telephone contact with experts, diary management, and assisting in the preparation of civil procedure documents.
* The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing correspondence to clients, agents, banks, third parties, and other solicitors, liaising with clients and other parties, answering incoming calls, and attending to deliveries.
About You
To succeed in this role, previous secretarial or office administration experience would be advantageous but is not required. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. In-house training will be provided.
This role provides valuable experience in a legal practice for legal students.
Requirements
You should have intermediate Microsoft Office skills and intermediate typing skills. Additionally, you should possess excellent attention to detail, demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, work cooperatively in a team environment, show an eagerness to learn, and hold a valid Australian driver's licence.
