Behind the scenes, Appetise is also a discovery and insights platform for FMCG brands. By connecting recipes to real supermarket baskets, we help brands see how their products are used, when people switch, and what trends are bubbling up in real kitchens.
It's food meets data - inspiring home cooks while giving brands a live view into what's really cooking across Australia & NZ.
We're 16 people across NZ and Sydney, moving fast with big ambitions. We need great people to help scale our GTM team as we grow.
About the Role
As our
Growth Marketing Manager
, you have one job:
drive sustainable, full-funnel growth across our B2C and B2B audiences
.
Reporting to our Head of Marketing, this is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll contribute to the strategy and own the execution of our performance engine—
acquiring, activating, and retaining users
through creative campaigns, sharp targeting, and constant experimentation. You'll optimise every step of the funnel, from first click to lifelong fan, helping us scale our consumer platform and unlock value for our FMCG customers.
You'll work across
Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success
to launch high-performing campaigns, deepen user engagement, and enter new markets. Whether it's a tactical CRO tweak or a big-bet campaign, you're the kind of person who
moves fast, measures everything, and scales what works

Key Responsibilities
1. Own the Growth Engine (40%)
* Design, run, and optimise full-funnel acquisition campaigns across
Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn
, and more.
* Build
targeted acquisition funnels
for both B2C users and B2B prospects, driving efficient and scalable growth.
* Lead our
SEO and organic growth strategy
, identifying keyword gaps, optimising pages, and partnering with content creators to build authority and reach.
* Run rapid
growth experiments
to test new ideas, validate opportunities, and scale what works.
2. Create Campaigns That Convert (25%)
* Collaborate with Product, and GTM teams to create
high-performing ads, landing pages, and lifecycle flows
that move users to action.
* Own messaging across the funnel, aligning with our positioning strategy to speak to real user needs - whether it's a busy home cook or a time-poor brand manager.
* Launch and optimise
email marketing
, automated lifecycle campaigns, and retargeting flows that increase engagement and retention.
* Drive
account-based campaigns
to reach FMCG leaders through Meta, LinkedIn, and custom touchpoints.
3. Deepen Retention & Value (20%)
* Use segmentation, automation, and CRO to
increase lifetime value and reduce churn
.
* Design and test initiatives that
boost engagement and stickiness
across key user segments.
* Track and improve key metrics like
CAC, ROAS, LTV, churn, and funnel conversion
—and know when they're trending in the wrong direction.
4. Explore & Scale New Markets (10%)
* Research, test, and optimise new growth channels—organic, influencer, affiliate, partnerships, and more.
* Support
go-to-market campaigns
as we launch our new mobile app and expand into new regions.
* Stay sharp on industry trends and emerging tools—and bring the best ideas back to the team.
5. Collaborate & Contribute (5%)
* Work closely with the
Head of Marketing
to align execution with strategy and audience insights.
* Contribute to our
growing marketing culture
, sharing performance insights, learnings, and big wins.
* Bring a
customer-first mindset

in a fast-moving environment, across multiple channels and audiences.
* Performance-driven

CAC, ROAS, LTV, churn
, and funnel metrics like a hawk. You're accountable to results and know how to hit a number.
* Creative & analytical
– You bring
big ideas, fast tests, and sharp execution
, with an eye for what resonates and a brain for what converts.
* Tool-savvy
– You know your way around
HubSpot, Klaviyo, Braze, ActiveCampaign, Brevo
, landing page builders, CRO tools, and ad platforms.
* Channel architect
– You've built and optimised campaigns across
Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, SEO, email, app stores
