About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This role demands a high level of autonomy within the structured environment of a publicly listed company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design, drafting, and production engineering tasks, with a focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advance SolidWorks design, drafting, and detailing effectiveness.
* Awareness and Compliance to established standards.
* Efficient and effective delivery of Engineering Projects.
* Contribute to Application Engineering of tankers and products.
* Check and verify engineering design calculations and analysis & test reports.
* Check and stipulate engineering specifications when required.
* Consult with customers on technical matters.
* Collaborate with Managers and other Engineers to ensure timely and efficient allocation of staff and resources to meet the company's objective and priorities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Advanced SolidWorks skills.
* Effectively utilise Change Management Principles, processes, behaviors, and skills necessary to effectively identify, manage, initiate, and influence change, and manage and support others through it.
* Flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, including the ability to work under pressure.
* Well-developed analytical and planning skills.
* Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office programs.
* Excellent communication verbal and written.
