At Coates, safety, reliability and service sit at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor based at our Kingston office, to lead the safe, efficient operation of our internal transport fleet across the Greater Brisbane metro area.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and promoting Coates' Safety‐First culture across transport hubs and customer interactions
* Supervising company drivers, including inductions, toolbox talks, compliance, uniforms and performance management
* Ensuring driver and vehicle compliance with CoR requirements and internal processes
* Managing driver labour costs, reviewing overtime and supporting efficient workforce planning
* Overseeing fleet maintenance records, coordinating servicing and repairs, and liaising with R&M providers
* Working closely with Transport Managers, Allocation and Branch Operations to resolve issues and deliver customer outcomes
* Identifying and implementing best practices to improve safety, efficiency and cost control in transport operations

What You'll Bring To The Role
* Experience in a similar supervisory role within the transport, logistics or fleet environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach and motivate teams
* A strong customer‐focused mindset
* Professional communication skills and solid computer capability
* Mechanical aptitude or understanding of heavy vehicle maintenance (desirable)
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends
* A current driver's licence
