Community Crisis Workers wanted for immediate start; On the job training & career progression.Your new companyThis organisation is one of Queensland's most-loved charitable services and is most proud of the way they support those in need in the community.Rotating 24/7 roster!Temp Contract - above award rates!Immediate Start based in MackayYour new roleYour day-to-day tasks will include:Meeting client needs in the least restrictive way possible;Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports;Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop independent living skills;Assisting the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution and relapse reduction;Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours)What you'll need to succeedTo be a successful candidate, it is a mandate to meet the following criteria:Homelessness support sector or related fieldAlways ensure confidentiality of client informationCertificate III in Community Services or related fieldEffective communication and time management skillsAbility to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team memberAt least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalentWhat you'll get in returnWe are looking for a number of casual Crisis Support Workers in both Mackay and Rockhampton.
