About the Role
This is an office-based role, working Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist & Account Manager to lead and grow our SEO department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of the SEO department and drive its growth and success.
* Plan, strategise, and execute tailored SEO strategies for clients while maintaining strong relationships.
* Set clear expectations, KPIs, and goals for each campaign to ensure measurable success.
* Conduct keyword research, perform audits, implement fixes, and apply on-page and off-page optimisation techniques.
* Oversight of an existing SEO staff member, ensuring they meet their duties and KPIs.
* Handle inbound sales inquiries and create proposals for new leads to help expand the SEO department.
* Experience with SEO tools such as AHREFS, Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, and Screaming Frog, as well as monitoring performance, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
* A sound understanding of HTML, CSS, cPanel & Wordpress.
* Stay ahead of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to refine strategies.
About You:
* Proven expertise in SEO account management with a track record of delivering real results.
* Ability to formulate, implement, and oversee SEO game plans for multiple clients.
* Comfortable handling client meetings, explaining strategies, and setting clear expectations.
* Ability to set KPI-driven goals and ensure strategies align with client objectives.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
* Knowledge of website structure, indexing, crawling, schema markup, and industry-leading SEO tools.
* Ability to put together proposals and drive new business opportunities.
* Experience in managing or mentoring team members, ensuring they meet performance goals.
* Must be comfortable around pets, as we have an office dog.
What Success Looks Like:
Consistently improving client search rankings, driving organic traffic growth, and delivering actionable recommendations that align with client goals.
Monitoring and enhancing key SEO metrics, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, click-through rates, bounce rates, and conversions.
