About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to manage a portfolio of complex litigation matters from instruction through to resolution, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s growth.
Reporting to the Partners, your responsibilities will include:
* Draft pleadings, legal documents, correspondence, and detailed written advice.
* Conduct negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions with clients and opposing parties.
* Appear in court independently or alongside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
* Provide strategic legal and commercial advice while mentoring junior team members.
* Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Admission as a Solicitor in Australia with a current unrestricted practising certificate
* Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in civil and commercial litigation
* Experience in insurance litigation, recoveries, motor claims, demurrage, or property damage
* Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills
* Strong commercial acumen with a client-focused mindset
* Proven ability to manage a team and supervise legal matters effectively
