About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Associate / Senior Associate Urban Planner will play a key role in managing and delivering strategic and statutory planning outcomes across residential, commercial and mixed‐use developments. The role involves working closely with internal project teams, consultants and approval authorities to guide projects from early concept through to approval.
The position offers hands‐on involvement throughout the full development lifecycle, as well as the opportunity to mentor junior planners and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, lodge and manage development applications, subdivision applications and structure plans
* Provide high‐quality statutory and strategic planning advice across development projects
* Liaise with local and state government authorities on planning matters
* Coordinate external consultants including architects, engineers and surveyors
* Deliver commercially focused planning advice aligned with project objectives
* Support internal project teams throughout the development process
* Mentor junior planners and contribute positively to team culture
* Assist with business development and identifying growth opportunities
Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in Urban & Regional Planning (or equivalent)
* Strong experience working within the WA planning system (development or consultancy experience desirable)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with broader project teams
* A pragmatic and solutions‐focused approach
* Have had previous exposure or willing to learn and develop business development skills and strategies
