At Allara Support Services, we're redefining what exceptional disability support looks like. Founded on a mission to deliver the highest quality Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, we're seeking a compassionate, empathetic Support Worker to join our new Gosford site. This role involves working with participants of varying needs—physical, intellectual, social, mental health, and challenging behaviours—in a waterfront apartment building that blends luxury and accessibility. You'll play a key role in empowering our clients to live independently and reach their best life.
About the Role
Provide high‐intensity support tailored to each participant's unique needs. Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting. Facilitate daily living activities and implement capacity‐building exercises. Manage household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Administer medications accurately and adhere to prescribed protocols. Accompany participants to medical appointments and liaise with healthcare teams. Enable community participation by arranging transport and supporting access to activities. Foster social engagement through active companionship and meaningful interaction.

About You

* Proven experience with Manual Handling
* Proven experience with High Intensity Support (Bowel care, Catheter care, etc.)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Cert III in Disability or Community Services)
* Required checks: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), CPR & First Aid Checks, Police Check
* Driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to follow protocol, procedures, documentation, and data collection
* Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
* Willingness to do short shifts
