Job Description
As the Public Relations & Media Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to promote Aurora Early Education. You will play a key role in managing our media presence, crafting compelling stories, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. You will also be responsible for information flow within Aurora Early Education and evaluating information that creates an understanding and a favourable view of Aurora Early Education, its services, and its role in the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive PR and media strategies to enhance all three Aurora centres visibility and reputation.
* Develop and maintain relationships with specialist media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
* Produce brand-native, location-based, relevant and engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
* Maintain and update the centre's website with current news and events to enhance the brand goals and SEO strategy.
* Plan publicity campaigns to support communication strategies towards enrollments of specific age groups based on service vacancies.
* Address community needs and tailor content as well as the Aurora Early Education's initiatives in each community.
* Create campaign reports and report directly to the CEO to advise on the public relations implications of Aurora's policies, programs and practices.
* Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, including key performance indicators such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROI.
* Organise open houses, parent-child workshops, educational seminars, special events, entertainment, and social functions to promote goodwill and favourable publicity of Aurora Early Education.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism.
* Minimum proven experience of 3 years full time in a PR or media role with demonstrated experience within the education or long day care sector.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create reports, briefings and presentations externally and internally.
* Proven experience in design and strategic planning to deliver digital content, social media campaigns and blog articles addressing early childhood brain development.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Creative thinking and problem-solving skills in dealing with childcare family matters and communications with customers.
* A positive Skills Assessment would be an advantage.
* Valid Australian Driver's License.
* Valid employee Working With Childrens Check.
