Macquarie Care Centre is our welcoming 55‑bed residential aged care home in Bathurst, known for its strong sense of community, personalised care and commitment to resident dignity.
We are seeking an experienced Residential Manager to provide strong clinical and operational leadership and to guide the home. This role will suit a hands‑on, people‑centred leader who enjoys building trust, developing teams and creating a positive, accountable culture.
As Residential Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day leadership and performance of the home, with a strong focus on quality care, compliance, workforce engagement and resident experience.
Supported by an on‑site leadership team and broader regional and corporate services, you will be empowered to lead with autonomy while never working in isolation. You will play a key role in embedding best practice, strengthening clinical governance and maintaining strong relationships with residents, families and the Bathurst community. In this role, you will:
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver person‑centred, relationship‑based care
Foster a culture of trust, accountability and professional pride
Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Accreditation requirements
Drive continuous improvement in clinical outcomes, resident experience and employee engagement
Lead operational planning, budgeting and resource management with confidence
Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, and the wider Bathurst community
What you'll bring:
Bachelor of Nursing tertiary qualification
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Proven experience in senior nursing leadership or management roles
Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, strengthened standards and AN‑ACC
Demonstrated experience in operational leadership, including rostering and financial oversight
A calm, compassionate and inclusive leadership style, with exceptional communication skills
