Who are you?
As a Principal Data and Insights Consultant at Cevo, you will bring a combination of technical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to empower customers to simplify cloud adoption and accelerate digital transformation.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* 10+ years in a hands‑on role in the data and technology industry
* Experience in data architecture and solution design for modern data platforms
* Previous consulting experience within enterprise environments
* 2+ years’ experience in a senior hands‑on data engineering role, leading technical teams
AWS Certifications (at least one required):
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
* AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
* AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
* AWS Certified Database – Specialty
Beneficial certifications:
* Snowflake SnowPro
* Databricks Lakehouse
Technical Skills
AWS Expertise
* Proficiency in AWS data, analytics, and AI/ML services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, SageMaker, Glue, Bedrock and Amazon Q.
* Hands‑on experience designing and implementing large‑scale, distributed data platforms and AI/ML models on AWS.
Data Engineering & Architecture
* Strong background in data engineering, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data lakes.
* Experience with data architecture, ensuring data quality, governance, and security.
* Knowledge of large‑scale data migrations.
Machine Learning & AI
* Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration with AWS services.
* Ability to build, train, and deploy machine learning models on AWS.
Business & Customer Engagement
* Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across technical and non‑technical teams.
* Experience conducting training sessions, deep architectural discussions, and cloud acceleration programmes.
* Ability to connect data, analytics, and AI solutions to measurable business outcomes.
* Experience in presales activities (EOI, RFI, RFP) presenting solutions to clients.
* Ability to author customer‑facing content such as whitepapers and blog posts.
