You'll play akey role in supporting Children & Young People to develop independent living skills, engage in education and remain positively connected to their team of Care Workers, Families, and broader community connections.The Children & Young People we care for have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect and may also have a mental health, physical or psychosocial disability so you will work in partnership with a Therapeutic Specialist and Case Manager to lead the implementation of the CARE model and ensure a safe, homelike environment for the Children & Young People in our care.Key ResponsibilitiesManage home in accordance with the CARE model, legislation, relevant standards, LWB policies and procedures and funding body requirementsProvide direct care and support to children and young people within a residential care setting.Be actively present in the home environment, providing role modelling to staffOversee and participate in the planning and implementation of therapeutic care plansModel and support staff in applying the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) systemManage, support and provide reflective supervision to your teamCreate and maintain rostering and staff availability patternsSkills & ExperienceA Diploma of Community Services, Youth work or related (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)Previous Leadership experience in services that support Children & Young people, such as OOHC and ITC settingsExperience supporting people with disabilities, complex health needs and those whom exhibit pain based behaviours of concernAbility to provide supervision and support to a teamCurrent First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID001 OR HLTAID009) Certificate/sCurrent Drivers LicenceSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.How to ApplyInclude your resume and covering letter in one document, click 'Apply' and follow the prompts.
