Senior Business Analyst - Business Transformation M&A Program
About the Opportunity
We're partnering with one of Australia's large, diversified group companies who operate multiple brands under one umbrella on a
high‑impact transformation program
. This is not your typical Business Analyst role, it's a chance to shape the future of a business unit undergoing
major change, business carve-outs, legal entity transition, and future operating model redesign
.
You'll be at the heart of a program with
multiple streams of work across the program
, spanning Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement, and Shared Services, where your work will directly influence how thousands of employees experience this transformation.
What You'll be doing:
* Lead
future state operating model discovery
, mapping how the business will look and operate post‑transition.
* Partner with Program Leads to
deep‑dive into business requirements
and assess change impacts across IT systems and business processes.
* Data & Systems Segregation: divestment involving separating data, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring requirements are captured for what stays, what moves, and what gets decommissioned.
* Support
M&A, divestment and separation activities
, including transitional service agreements (TSA), whilst balancing legal, operational, and people impacts while documenting requirements and future state models.
* Review and renegotiate
vendor contracts
impacted by the new legal entity and operational model redesign.
* Change & people sensitivity: Assess, analyse and determine new reporting lines, payroll changes, or shifts in HR systems.
* Redesign and validate
reporting frameworks
using tools like Quantum and Qlik.
* Collaborate across a
shared services environment
, balancing the needs of multiple brands across this large Group entity organisation with the rigor of a central "mothership."
About You
We're looking for a
seasoned, business‑facing BA
with at least 5 years of commercial experience working with large multi-divisional Enterprise level organisations who thrives in complexity and large‑scale Enterprise programs, that span across multiple streams.
To propel your success, ideally you'll be able to offer:
* Extensive experience working in Business Analysis, across all key areas such as requirements gathering, GAP Analysis, As-IS – To-BE, process improvements, wireframes, workshop facilitation, business process mapping etc…
* Experience in
M&A, divestments, business separation, or integration initiatives
.
* A track record of supporting the design of
future state operating models
with sensitivity to people impacts.
* Strong skills in
process analysis, change impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement
.
* Confidence working across large and complex
shared services organisations
.
* Familiarity with
reporting tools (Power BI, Qlik etc..)
and data validation.
* Exceptional communication skills, with confidence leading stakeholder interactions, with the ability to influence, align, and inspire diverse stakeholders.
Why Join?
This is a rare opportunity to secure a long-term daily rate contracting engagement this side of the festive season, and we are flexible to position the start date in late December or early January depending on your preference, where you'll have the chance to help
shape the future of a major Australian group business
, working alongside senior leaders on a program that will redefine how the organisation operates.
You'll be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking team where your expertise will make a tangible impact, and there could be scope for future ongoing extensions based on the success of the programs milestones throughout
