Electrical Assembly and Testing Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrotechnology Electrician to join our team in the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading rail business delivering whole-of-life asset management support to customers.
In this role, you will play a vital part in the electrical assembly, testing, and commissioning of next-generation railcars. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing wire cutting, labelling, crimping, and termination to precise specifications.
* Installing electrical looms and components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Conducting electrical testing, measurement, and fault finding to ensure system integrity and performance.
* Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality targets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or Equivalent.
* Knowledge of electrical rollingstock systems, manufacturing processes, and specialised equipment.
* The ability to dismantle, repair, replace, assemble, and fit engineering components.
* Skilled in precision electrical and electronic measurement.
* Experience in terminating and connecting electrical wiring, including electrical crimping.
* Exposure and experience in fault finding.
* Good communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent time management and forward-thinking.
* Ability to influence, motivate and contribute to continuous improvement.
What We Offer
