The role
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Open Spaces team as Turf Horticultural Labourer. Your role will involve a range of greenkeeping tasks, from edging pathways and garden beds to maintaining sports fields and turfed areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the construction and upkeep of beautiful horticultural displays.
* Help conserve natural areas within our gardens.
* Use and maintain horticultural machinery like brush cutters, push mowers, ride-on mowers, and leaf blowers.
* Implement weed control and assist with the collection of propagation material.
* Ensure all activities follow health and safety policies to protect staff and visitors.

What you will bring to the role
* Experience in turf maintenance and general garden upkeep.
* Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
* Ability to use and maintain horticultural equipment
* A hands-on attitude, reliability, and a willingness to pitch in and get the job done as part of a supportive team.
What is an essential requirement:
* Current driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos.
* Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
