We are currently seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist with an interest in dementia care, to provide a consultative service to our central sites, including Inglewood and Subiaco residential aged care, which includes Brightwaters Specialist Dementia Care Unit. We are flexible and have the capacity to bring on the right candidate in either a fulltime or part time capacity
As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess the client, determine individual capabilities, and set realistic goals, facilitating the achievement of these goals while optimising the client's functional performance relation to activities of daily living, wellbeing, leisure pursuits and vocation/education, within a residential setting. As the Occupational Therapist to Brightwaters Specialist Dementia Care Unit, you will be involved in multidisciplinary goal setting and intervention implementation to support residents with highly complex behavioural, social and physical needs transition into mainstream residential aged care.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the Occupational Therapist (OT) provides quality, appropriate and relevant OT services to meet the needs of Brightwater Care Group's clients.

The ideal candidate will:
* Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Strong commitment to providing, and the capability to deliver, safe high-quality care.
* Demonstrated experience and competency as an OT to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in various environments with a diverse range of people.
* Strong person‑centred skills in communicating and engaging with clients with high support needs including cognitive impairment, brain injury, and dementia.
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.
* Working knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation; Aged Care Act (1997); and/or Disability Services Commission Standards (1988).
* First Aid Certificate less than 3 years old (desirable; essential if providing services for Brightwater At Home clients).
* A current C Class Driver's license as defined by the Department of Transport WA (DoTWA)
* A safe, registered, and suitably insured motor vehicle able to be used for work purposes.
* Satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Check
