About the Roles
You'll contribute to the planning and execution of strategic, multi-channel campaigns that reach diverse audiences. Activities include:
APS6 Senior Communication Officer
Take the lead in developing and implementing evidence-based communication strategies. Manage complex timelines and large budgets, oversee procurement and contractor deliverables, and mentor junior staff. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping campaign direction and ensuring quality outcomes.
APS5 Communication Officer
Support the delivery of national campaigns by assisting with strategy development, drafting and editing content, coordinating activities, and managing reporting. You'll help keep projects on track and ensure message consistency across channels.
What We're Looking For
* Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
* Experience in developing content for diverse audiences across multiple channels.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
* For APS6: Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic communication and leadership.
* For APS5: Experience supporting communication activities and content development.
* Understanding of government campaign processes (essential for APS6; desirable for APS5).
* Australian citizenship essential, as is the ability to obtain a baseline clearance.
