Latrobe Regional Health is looking for a Palliative Care Physician to join our growing team on a part-time fixed term.
As the principal referral hospital for the Palliative Care Consultancy Gippsland team, LRH is committed to delivering equitable, high-quality palliative care across the region. This senior role provides clinical leadership, patient care, and strategic support for inpatient and community-based services, while fostering collaboration with regional health providers and contributing to education, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Role responsibilities
* Deliver specialist palliative care services across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
* Provide consultancy and support to regional health providers, general practitioners and community palliative care services.
* Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, medical students, and allied health professionals.
* Contribute to policy development, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.
* Engage in research, education and strategic planning to enhance palliative care services.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Palliative Medicine and/or Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM).
* Demonstrated clinical expertise in palliative medicine.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centred approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
