Job Description
* Canonical / Logical Data Model Literacy – Can read and interpret a CDM/LDM, understand entity relationships, and apply mapping principles consistently – not just map field-to-field but understanding why a field belongs where it does in the canonical model.
* SQL Proficiency – Able to write and validate SQL queries to profile source data, test transformation logic, and verify mapped outputs.
* Data Profiling & Quality Assessment – Ability to interrogate source data independently, identify anomalies, and undocumented business logic embedded in data.
* Microsoft Fabric / Medallion Architecture Awareness – Understanding of Bronze → Silver → Gold layering, and how mapping decisions affect downstream Silver and Gold outputs. Does not need to be a Fabric engineer, but must understand the architecture they are mapping into.
* Insurance Domain Knowledge – Familiarity with core insurance concepts essential if the person is a fast learner with strong insurance fundamentals.
* Business Rules Elicitation – Comfortable engaging with business SMEs to surface undocumented rules. This person cannot just wait to be told – they need to ask the right questions and know when to elevate ambiguity vs. make a documented assumption.
* Data Dictionary Interpretation – Ability to work from imperfect or incomplete source documentation and not be paralysed by it. Given Pure's data dictionary gaps, this is non‐negotiable.
