The Role This is a highly influential leadership opportunity with significant impact across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape and deliver Goodstart's enterprise data strategy. Note: this role is internally titled 'ICT Manager - Data Engineering & Experience' The position leads Goodstart's enterprise data capability across data engineering, analytics enablement, and data experience, owning both the strategic roadmap and the evolution of how data is leveraged across the organisation. While demonstrated technical credibility is essential, strong people and organisational leadership is the priority, focused on enabling high-performing teams and sustainable delivery outcomes. You will oversee multiple data streams, ensuring initiatives are aligned to organisational priorities, effectively governed, and deliver meaningful insights that support business decision-making. Responsibilities: Lead and develop a high-performing data division across engineering, analytics enablement, and data experience, including 4 direct reports who each manage a core data stream Define and deliver the enterprise roadmap for Data Engineering and Experience, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities Drive the advancement of a contemporary cloud-based data infrastructure and build efficient, modern data pipelines Work with key business and technical stakeholders to design and evolve a scalable, modular data architecture Collaborate with the data governance function to maintain data consistency, security, and compliance with relevant regulations Provide technical and people leadership across agile delivery teams Enable business insights and efficiencies through strategic use of data and analytics Requirements: Experience in a similar senior leadership role within the data management field Extensive experience managing data infrastructures and data teams Experience guiding organisations through modern data platform or cloud transformation journeys (Microsoft Azure / Fabric experience highly regarded) Experience balancing competing priorities and implementing governance or demand management frameworks Data architecture and project management experience Degree in Computer Science, Data Management, IT, or a related field Apply Today Goodstart is an equal opportunity employer that is proud of their inclusive and diverse work environment.
