About the Role: As the Assistant Farm Manager, you will work closely with the Farm Manager to ensure that all farm activities run safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. This role plays a key part in meeting operational targets, supporting staff, and maintaining high levels of animal welfare and biosecurity.
You will be involved in daily farm operations, team coordination, monitoring flock performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Farm Manager in the day‐to‐day running of poultry farm operations
* Support the implementation of production plans and performance targets
* Monitor flock health, welfare, housing, and environmental standards
* Supervise and guide farm staff to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity
* Conduct daily inspections, record data, and assist with farm reporting
* Maintain high standards of biosecurity, hygiene, and safety
* Assist with feed management, livestock handling, and shed operations
* Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers as required
* Support compliance with company guidelines, WHS policies, and animal welfare standards
About You: We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and passionate about high‐quality livestock operations. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in agriculture, poultry, livestock, or farming operations
* Strong organisational and problem‐solving abilities
* Confidence supervising or coordinating small teams
* Excellent communication and time‐management skills
* A commitment to safety, animal welfare, and farm performance
* Willingness to work in a hands‐on, fast‐paced environment
* Ability to work flexible hours as required by farm operations
