This isn't just engineering; it's fusing creative flair with heavy duty industrial automation, they are currently in explosive growth mode and hunting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to fuel their next wave of groundbreaking innovation.
THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of advanced electrical and safety control systems for high precision industrial motion equipment. You will be the technical architect behind the motors, gearboxes, hoists, and servo-driven wonders that bring world class entertainment to life.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conceptualise bold designs, integrate top tier components, and engineer robust electrical solutions.
* Lead the team through relentless prototyping, rigorous testing, and flawless documentation.
* Take your designs from the desk to the stage, overseeing onsite deployments and ensuring systems perform under the spotlight.
* Drive projects that push performance boundaries while maintaining rock-solid adherence to functional safety standards.
ABOUT YOU
You are an Electrical Engineer who lives for precision and safety. You thrive in high stakes environments where your designs don't just work, they amaze. You are a collaborative leader ready to turn complex motion challenges into seamless, reliable reality.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Essential Skills:
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Bachelor's degree qualification level is required.
* Strong hands-on experience with motors, VSDs/VFDs, servo systems, electrical braking, and drive controllers.
* Minimum of 5-8 years of electrical engineering experience is required.
* Proven expertise in safety PLCs, functional safety standards, and control system architecture.
* 5+ years specialist level experience with safety PLCs and functional safety standards is required.
* A solid track record with advanced PCB layouts, electronic circuits, and integrated hardware/software systems.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in stage engineering, venue automation, or high precision motion industries.
* Proficiency with modern CAD/electrical design tools.
* Bonus points for exposure to power braking systems, pile winds, or trolley tech.
