Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and optimisation of enterprise-grade observability and monitoring platforms across hybrid environments.
Design and deploy monitoring solutions using tools like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
Collaborate with delivery teams to embed monitoring into project deployments from day one.
Automate incident workflows via integrations with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira) to improve response times.
Develop custom dashboards for system health, capacity planning, and end-user experience visibility.
Perform log analysis, trace diagnostics, and root cause investigations across diverse environments.
Assist with the configuration of core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Windows/Linux servers.
Ensure security compliance and performance optimisation through regular patching and upgrades.
Produce detailed system documentation and mentor team members on observability best practices.
Engage with clients to translate technical observability goals into business outcomes.
Desired Skills and Attributes
5+ years' experience working in enterprise or mid-market environments.
Proven background in observability and monitoring using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
Experience with infrastructure across Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, VMware, and cloud (AWS/Azure).
Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Shell for automating observability tasks.
Knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
Understanding of synthetic monitoring, trace analysis, and log management.
Strong communication and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset.
Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or SolarWinds SCP highly desirable.
