About the role:
Aurizon are seeking the expertise of a Transformation Specialist to partner with the leadership team in strategic activities to support transformation and continuous improvement within the region
.
Reporting to the Business Performance Leader, you will work with a team of transformational specialists to ensure projects are successfully embedded across the operational depots.
This is a fixed term full time opportunity until October 2026.
The role will be accountable for:
* Leading with the identification, prioritisation and implementation of improvement activities.
* Lead the analysis of project and operational requirements, investigate innovative solutions and provide guidance to managers and employees.
* Lead and coordinate the review and reporting of initiative progress to senior management and/or stakeholders and ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives.
* Drive effective working relationships with customers, internal and external clients at a middle management level to ensure improvement initiatives are in keeping with wider business objectives
* Drive collaboration across functions and regions to ensure consistent application of improvement activities across the enterprise and standardise
About you:
* You are an experienced influencer, able to connect and implement change with a range of stakeholders and environments.
* You have experience with identifying and managing risks to mitigate impact to program delivery.
* You are values driven and results focused, with the ability to coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
* High Level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally.
* Effective business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical capability.
* Ideally you will have applied process improvement methodologies.
* Ideally have knowledge in the rail industry, in either operational or maintenance functions.
* Project management experience including PM qualifications would be well regarded
