As a Field Assessor in Property Assessing, you’ll play a vital role in helping customers navigate the repair and settlement process after property damage. You’ll combine technical know-how with empathy to ensure every claim is managed efficiently and to the highest standard. This is a permanent, full-time position based in the ACT region.
What You'll Do
Attend customer properties to assess damage, quantify repairs, and authorise settlements. Negotiate and manage repair scopes, variations, and total loss settlements with suppliers and customers. Monitor repairs through to completion, resolving delays and ensuring quality outcomes. Drive cost-effective solutions with suppliers to meet agreed targets for claims costs. Collaborate with claims teams and partners to resolve complex issues and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years’ experience in property assessing, loss adjusting, construction trade. Strong understanding of claims management processes and repair methodologies is preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required. A customer-first mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
