The successful candidate will join the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, Faculty of Engineering at UNSW. This dynamic school boasts over 1,500 students and 43 academic staff, making it one of the largest and most prestigious schools of its kind in Australia.
* Job Description:
We seek an exceptional individual with expertise in Electrical Engineering or a related field to fill this critical position. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, particularly in areas such as energy systems, embedded systems, or control systems.
The selected candidate will also possess experience in educational technologies and online delivery methods, as well as demonstrated ability to engage students and foster independent learning through meaningful assessment and helpful feedback.
* Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. They should demonstrate a proven commitment to proactively staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
A strong background in research, with a track record of publications and conference presentations, is highly desirable. Experience working in a team, collaborating across disciplines, and building effective relationships is also essential.
The candidate should be able to provide mentorship and guidance to students, nurturing their personal and academic growth, while also supporting student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
