Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking multiple Clinical Midwives to join the team within Maternity Services at the Townsville University Hospital on a permanent full-time or part-time basis hours negoitable.
About the work unit / facility
This role is a rotational midwifery role where the successful candidate will provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women in the Maternity Inpatient Unit and Birth Suite. Opportunities may also exist to rotate to antenatal clinics and home visiting midwifery services.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
* Salary range: $4262.20 to $4564.00 p.f. (full-time) (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
* Hourly rate: $56.08 to $60.05 p.h. (part-time) (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
In this role, you will provide clinical leadership: supporting the multidisciplinary team to achieve collaborative care utilizing team engagement, advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and problem solving to effectively coordinate care delivery and manage complex situations.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position
* Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
* Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
* This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
