Culturally Responsive Leader
The position of Culturally Responsive Leader is a pivotal role in fostering the cultural learning and education of First Nations students at our school. The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and a First Nations perspective to our school's leadership teams.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and a First Nations perspective to our school's leadership teams.
* Support culturally responsive practices across the school and help staff build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations students and families.
* Support the implementation of culturally responsive practices and progress our department's Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
* Collaborate closely with our Cultural Reference Group, the Aboriginal Education Team, and be an active member of our school leadership team.
* Focus on improving First Nations student attendance, engagement, and academic achievement.
* Support the Two-Way Learning Team; skills or interest in Science, the Arts, or local Aboriginal language are highly regarded.

Eligibility Criteria
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by our department's Screening Unit before starting.
