Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for gaining and developing the required skills to successfully complete the requirements of an apprenticeship in the Mechanical Fitter trade. You will receive extensive on-the-job training as well as formal TAFE training to support your development throughout the journey.

This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth. The position is based mainly in the processing plant.

About the role:
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental awareness, complying with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop your skills to qualify as a tradesperson by undertaking all aspects of formal and informal training aligned with the apprenticeship training plan and site requirements, as directed by site training personnel.
- Apply knowledge and skills gained through the apprenticeship to improve the reliability, serviceability, and availability of site equipment and infrastructure related to your trade.
- Ensure a safe work environment by keeping your work area clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
- Use the site safety management system to report hazards and incidents.
- Support the maintenance team to enhance overall effectiveness by providing assistance as directed.
About you:
- Completion of schooling up to Year 10 or equivalent.
- Good communication and computer literacy skills.
- Manual Driver's License.
- Successful completion of an Apprenticeship Pathways Practical Aptitude Assessment.
- Genuine interest and understanding of the Mechanical Fitting trade.
- Completion of a Certificate II in Engineering is highly regarded.
