Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present dishes according to daily needs and culinary standards.
* Collaborate in creating menus that showcase flair and innovation, taking into account seasonal offerings and patron preferences.
* Evaluate patron satisfaction by ensuring dishes meet expectations.
* Manage stock levels and ordering to ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Maintain food preservation and rotation to minimize wastage.
* Train kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients.
* Lead kitchen operations and ensure adherence to health regulations at all times.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, including breakfast and short order cooking, larder management, à la carte service, fine dining, and high-volume banquets and events.
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* A commitment to quality and consistency.
* Compliance with OHS, HACCP, COVID-19, and Safe Food Handling regulations.
* A valid Queensland driver's licence.
