Piano Player for Chapel Services – HammondCare Cardiff
Cardiff, Australia | Posted on 01/15/2026
Piano Player for Chapel Services – HammondCare Cardiff Wednesdays (fortnightly), 1:15pm – 2:15pm.
We're seeking a piano player to help bring the comfort of worship and the beauty of music to older residents at HammondCare Cardiff Aged Care.
Many of our residents can no longer attend church services in the community, but their faith — and the music that has carried them through life — still means so much. Your playing helps create a peaceful, familiar space where they can reflect, sing softly, or simply close their eyes and feel held by the hymns they've loved for decades.
This role is more than accompanying a service. It's offering connection, dignity, and spiritual nourishment through music. Your presence helps residents feel part of something meaningful, even when they can't leave the home. A single hour of gentle melodies can brighten their week and touch their hearts in ways words often can't.
If you feel called to share your musical gifts, this is a beautiful way to bring comfort, community, and joy to those who need it most.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
