Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open cut mine that provides the opportunity to live and work locally. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of Recent South Wales, MTW relies on both dragline and load haul systems for their continuous operations. The MTW Mine is the largest open cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor- Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on site assets. This role is a great opportunity to contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in the Infrastructure maintenance areas of our business while working the Monday - Thursday, Tuesday - Friday roster, 10 hour shifts.
You will be working on a range of equipment including but not limited to: generators, forklifts, tractors, scissor lifts, pumps, lighting plants, tractors.

To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:
Essential Criteria:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification;
- Proven Heavy Industry experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Proven ability to work safely in a team environment;
- Proven skill in diagnostic problem solving across the Infrastructure scope of equipment;
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality of work;
- Ability to problem solve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Desirable criteria:
- SAP experience;
- Previous OEM Experience;
- Industry relevant qualifications (high risk tickets);
- Knowledge of planning / scheduling and risk assessment process.
