What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in our Finance Consulting team in Canberra, you will work with a team of Deloitte's brightest minds to analyze clients' needs for transforming their Finance Function.
About the team
Government is being disrupted at lightning speed, and we're responsible for helping Government Agencies and their CFOs stay ahead of the curve.
Our high-performing and collaborative team offers Government advice to enable and optimize their investment decisions, funding strategies, finance functions, and financial management, ensuring alignment with organizational and Government's long-term goals.
We focus on improving investment decision-making, efficiency, and effectiveness of organizations at all stages of the investment and finance transformation journey, from designing change to delivering, managing, and providing assurance around change initiatives.
You will be an integral part of a leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, generating insights to deliver value to our clients.

Let's talk about you
With a focus on Federal Government, you will be part of our team providing the following offerings to our clients:
* 3-4 years of professional experience in a finance consulting environment
* An analytical background in mathematical modeling (e.g., Commerce, Finance, Actuarial, Data, or Engineering) with an interest in capability cost estimation
* Experience with financial systems used in Defence, SAP, ROMAN, BORIS, TM1 (IBRIS)
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other cost management/estimation applications
* Strong communication, planning, and organization skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to produce high-quality project reporting and analysis
* Advanced understanding and experience in cost control and program finance across various project phases
* Experience in identifying, analyzing, and solving cost control problems
* Experience in conducting cost forecasting, trending, budget phasing, and change management
* Experience in cost estimation and controls practices
Due to client requirements, all candidates must undergo a security clearance, and only Australian citizens will be considered. This role is based in Canberra.
