What's the gig? We're looking for a Chef with serious skill on the grill, to join our kitchen team in The Mill Restaurant. If you're passionate about perfectly cooked steaks, flame-grilled favourites, and creating bold, smoky flavours — we want to hear from you! You'll take pride in your skills, work well under pressure, and bring a great energy to our kitchen team. This position is on a part time basis, with flexibility available, up to full time hours if desired.
Here's a taste of what you'll do:
* Cooking up a storm in our bustling kitchen.
* We hate waste! You must maintain consistent portion control to minimise waste at all times.
* Refresh and replenish menu items during trade.
* Learning is very important for growth! You must be able to assist with the training of staff including any apprentices and trainees.
* And of course - follow correct hygienic food handling practices.
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified chef.
* Relevant trade qualifications.
* Competent and confident on the grill.
* Experience in functions/events preferable but not necessary.
* Multi-tasking abilities reflecting efficient organisational skills.
* Understanding and the ability to maintain the highest level of customer service.
* Punctual, reliable, dependable and self-motivated.
* Good communication skills.
* Availability across 7 days with flexible hours, including public holidays.
