Details: The ACT Ambulance Service is seeking a highly organised and detail orientated candidate to undertake the role as Cleaning and Logistics Support Officer.
You will support the ACT Ambulance Service with stock and inventory management of goods and specialised equipment, assets, and medical supplies, as well as compliance with infection prevention and control measures through the deep cleaning of ambulance vehicles.
This is a highly diversified role, both office based and field work required! No two days will be the same and the ideal candidate embraces flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. In return, you will be supported by a fantastic team, work with a critical team for delivering vital ACT Ambulance Services and generate tangible impacts for the ACT Community.
A few of the key tasks of the position:
* Support vehicle movements for scheduled servicing, inspections, fit outs and repairs to keep the fleet operational
* Conduct deep cleaning of ambulance vehicles to set infection control standards
* Maintain stock levels to a min/max level as agreed reporting any shortages.
* Conduct a monthly stretcher audit/clean at Canberra and North Canberra hospitals
* Report accurately and correctly on defects, damage and issues relating to equipment and vehicles
* Replace and re-stock vital equipment within ACTAS vehicles
* Assist with the facilitation of periodic deep clean of ambulance stations

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* A LR Class Driver’s licence is essential.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
* This position requires an Advanced First aid certificate.
* This position may require a pre-employment medical; and
* Eligible applicants will undergo a police record check.
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Highly desirable:
* Experience in a similar role within a health industry.
