Job Title
This role is integral to the success of the Assets & Maintenance Group.
The Store Person will play a key part in supporting railway operations by managing the efficient receipt, storage, distribution and control of all rail-specific materials, tools and equipment. This ensures maintenance crews and project teams have what they need when they need it while maintaining safety, quality and compliance standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist with stocktake / cycle counting and auditing compliance
* Manage documentation for PO receipts, conformance certificates and delivery dockets
* Oversee stock storage processes including tagging, boxing and labelling
* Taking delivery of goods and inspecting for accuracy and/or damage
* Filling outgoing orders packaging and dispatching materials
* Operating lifting gear or forklift machinery for heavy packages
* Delivering materials to maintenance depots or project sites using a company vehicle
* Using Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP software
* Complying with workplace health and safety policies actively participating in safety initiatives
Requirements:
* You're a team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Thrives in fast-paced environment brings proactive approach to problem solving
* Intermediate MS Excel Word skills
* Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
* Forklift Licence mandatory
* Valid driver's licence
* Desirable: Certificate III in Transport & Logistics / Warehousing Operations Medium Rigid Licence Dangerous goods handling awareness
