Job Title: Grounds Manager
The role of Grounds Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our garden as a centre of horticultural excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and Development: Implement planning, design, and development of the garden in conjunction with the General Manager and Board of Trustees.
* Grounds Operations: Coordinate grounds and building works, including supervision of contractors.
* Propagation and Maintenance: Plan and coordinate propagation, new plantings, grounds maintenance program, and regular plant sales.
* Maintenance and Security: Maintain grounds, irrigation systems, and other services, while also monitoring and maintaining security processes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Horticulture, Land Management, or Landscape Design, or demonstrated successful experience in a field related to the position.
In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will possess sound knowledge of Australian plants and their horticulture, good communication skills, and organizational skills.
