This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.

About The Role
The Operational Compliance branch is accountable for the development, implementation and compliance oversight of the Corrective Services' operational policy framework, management of prisons, court security and custodial services contracts.

Senior Compliance Officers perform an independent compliance function assessing adherence with statutory and operational policy requirements. Our emphasis is driving continuous improvement, cultivating a compliance culture, and supporting our stakeholders to achieve performance targets.

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will have the opportunity to travel and work in diverse locations around Western Australia, including metropolitan and regional adult correctional facilities, youth detention centres, community corrections, courts and prisoner transport locations. You will represent the Operational Compliance Branch on a daily basis when liaising and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will provide the successful applicant an opportunity to learn compliance skills aligned with Operational Compliance Framework. In return, you will be provided ongoing professional training, supported by experienced compliance practitioners in an environment that values diversity and people's individual contributions to the team.

Senior Compliance Officers may be required to operate outside standard hours and regular regional travel will be required.

Eligibility
WWC positions
– In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.

Permanent positions
– To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Special Condition
– The position holder will be required to travel within Western Australia for operational purposes and required to hold a current and valid 'C' or 'C-A' class driver's licence or equivalent.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
