The role The Registered Nurse is a nurse who is licensed to practice nursing without supervision and who assumes accountability and responsibility for their own actions and acts to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or professional conduct. The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
