POSITION DESCRIPTION - Business Administration Officer
The duties of the Business Administration Officer include but are not limited to:
Day-to-day management and upkeep of Anaiwan Language & Research Hub office, including but not
limited to office supplies, amenities, and equipment
Coordinating and managing staff diaries, appointments, meetings, etc.
Coordinating and managing the organization's finances, including payroll, auditing, bookkeeping, grant
acquittals, paying and issuing of invoices etc.
Creating, organizing, and maintaining databases and systems for clients, staff, and programs/projects
Applying for and sourcing funding, including through grant applications
Managing and organizing staff training, development, travel (e.g. for conferences)
Assisting with logistics of planning and organizing events, programs, projects, and meetings
Managing and responding to incoming correspondence
Record keeping
Creating and maintaining organizational policies and procedures
Maintenance of a clean and tidy office environment
providing quality customer service
Effective communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
Contributing to a positive, culturally safe, open and honest working environment based in Aboriginal
cultural values
Attend staff meetings and provide regular updates and reports to Nēwara Team RE activities, issues, and
progress
The Resource Developer & Creative Producer must have the following:
Current Working with Children Check
First Aid training (or be willing to undertake training)
Current Driver's License
Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $36.70 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
