The Opportunity
A rare senior leadership opportunity has become available for a General Manager – Business Services, responsible for leading Finance, ICT and core business support functions. This role plays a key part in organisational strategy, governance, and long-term sustainability, contributing directly to service excellence and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing strategic leadership across Finance, ICT and Business Services, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, funding requirements and best-practice standards
* Leading the development, implementation and review of business support strategies, policies, procedures and quality systems across the organisation
* Overseeing financial management, including budgeting, reporting, audits, contract compliance, and performance monitoring
* Managing a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive, collaborative and high-performance culture with strong supervision, development and workforce capability
* Coordinating contract management, risk oversight, legislative compliance and key governance functions including board reporting
* Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and representing the organisation in external forums, advocating for improvement and sustainability
* Managing organisational data and information systems, ensuring secure, compliant and contemporary ICT practices that support operational effectiveness
* Driving continuous improvement, quality assurance and service enhancement initiatives across business services
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Project Management or related field (CA/CPA strongly preferred)
* Extensive experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting and audit processes
* Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a complex environment, ideally within community services
* Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, quality frameworks and contractual obligations
* Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain robust policies, procedures and quality systems
* Highly developed communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, able to build strong relationships across all levels
* Experience managing ICT environments, data systems, and operational technology frameworks
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead innovation and drive operational improvement
* Current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain), National Police Check and a valid driver's licence
