Due to significant growth, we're seeking a talented, highly motivated and passionate Demand & Allocation Planner to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting high growth business as we roll out our national and international expansion plans.
This role is integral to the business and would require the successful applicant to develop and maintain accurate forecasts of standard and promotional lines for all categories. You will be a central focal point to facilitating an accurate forecast, Purchase Order Plan and allocations management for all customers.
**Tasks include but are not limited to**:
- Develop purchase order plan recommendation based on aligned forecast for approval by head of supply chain, head of finance and CEO, where required.
- Liaise with Inbound supply coordinator on aligned forecast and approved PO's.
- Maintain inventory levels in line with approved weeks of cover per SKU.
- Manage baseline and promotional SKU allocations by customer including inventory transfers within the NetSuite ERP.
- Event planning for promotions and other key retailer sync events.
- Responsible for maintaining the allocation calendar and NetSuite ERP management
- Use NetSuite and RFSmart, along with established processes to generate daily/weekly stock transfers to move finished goods within the ERP to meet defined days of cover (DOC) targets, whilst managing capacity constraints
- In times of product shortage, agree with business stakeholders on customer allocation priorities and allocate available quantities to these customers for both launch and ongoing ranging.
- Approve all customer orders for release based on SKU availability.
- Conduct a weekly warehouse review by SKU to ensure appropriate stock levels available
- Conduit to sales team for inventory requests / enquiries.
- Highlight supply planning process gaps and propose process improvements
- Track customer orders versus aligned forecasts on standard and promotional lines through exception reporting and bias in line with KPI targets
- Ensuring customer orders are in line with the promotional plan by customer and DC
- Liaising with our Woolworths Vendor Replenishment Planner to ensure planned orders are in line with approved internal forecast.
- Ensuring aligned forecast promotional uplift in line with customer's internal forecast.
- Liaise with the marketing team on product pushes and inventory availability.
**Ideally you will have**:
- A minimum of 5 years' supply chain management experience within FMCG / retail / other B2C organizations, part of which would ideally have been gained within a "best in class" supply chain organization
- Experienced, results-driven and hands-on supply professional who is comfortable operating in complex and diverse environments and has a proven track record of improving efficiency and upgrading the demand planning function in an organization
- Understanding of international and national freight logistics
- Analytical and numerically strong. Makes fact-based decisions and prioritises accordingly
- A thorough understanding of product development and product lifecycle is advantageous
- Ability to develop insights that continuously improve forecasting and execution
- Strong exposure and understanding of Distribution and Logistics, Commercial and Finance areas
- High computer literacy with strong understanding of stock management systems
- GS1 / Global Standards understanding
- Proactive attitude, initiatives taking and ability to work in a project mode
- Be able to influence and challenge as well as adapting quickly and manage priorities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals and in cross-functional teams
This role is based from our HQ based in Rosebery, NSW and may require interstate and overseas travel to support the expansion of the business.
