Carpenters play a vital role in building construction, responsible for interpreting plans, supervising apprentices, scheduling trades, ordering materials, and ensuring quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpretation of construction plans
2. Supervising apprentices and assisting with on-the-job training
3. Scheduling onsite trades and material deliveries
4. Ordering materials and quoting works
5. Applying quality control techniques to works and materials
6. Building surrounds, decks, landings, ramps, steps, carports, and garages attached to modular homes
7. General carpentry work associated with internal fix out, external completion, and complexing modular homes together
8. General labouring
9. Service and maintenance on completed homes
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Quality interpersonal skills for effective liaison with suppliers and contractors
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
* Effective time management skills with prioritization of competing tasks
* Problem-solving skills with timely identification of issues
* Diverse use of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

PREFERRED CANDIDATE CRITERIA:
* OHS White Card
* Australian permanent residency
* Trade qualification with relevant practical experience
* Minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience
* Certificate III Carpentry qualification
* NNSW unrestricted driver's license with satisfactory driving record
