Kennedys is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Sydney office and contribute to our expanding Liability practice.

Working alongside one of Australia's leading personal injury Partners, Lucinda Lyons, and her experienced legal team, you will gain substantial exposure to diverse insurance matters including complex liability and high-value personal injury cases. This role offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to case outcomes while developing your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.

As an accredited specialist in personal injury law, Lucinda brings extensive experience in coverage advice, defence strategies, commercial guidance, and conducting both criminal and civil litigation. Her expertise encompasses sexual abuse claims and matters within the disability sector.

Case Types You'll Handle

High-value personal injury claimsDefective premises and property damage mattersProduct and public liability casesBoth pre-litigation and litigated files

What We're Looking For

Experience Requirements

2+ years PQE in one or more of the following areas:TPD (Total and Permanent Disability) claimsLife insurance mattersSuperannuation lawPolicy interpretationGeneral liability (defence or plaintiff experience)Insurance and personal injury defence mattersEssential Skills

Strong knowledge of litigation and insurance law, including personal injury and public liabilityExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamExperience communicating effectively with experts across multiple disciplinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
