Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.
Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Site Engineer / Project Engineer to join their growing business.
Our client provides its services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $25m but can go up to $50m+.
Candidate must have civil experience and ideally bulk earthworks experience. Projects are in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
* Working on tenders
* Planning and scheduling of construction activities
* Management of site project teams
* Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
* Preparation of management reports
* Resolving site issues in a timely manner
* Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
* Coordinating internal and external resources
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
* 3 – 5+ years' experience on civil projects, must have bulk earthworks experience
* Project management qualifications will be advantageous
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
* Effective problem-solving abilities
* Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
